The three consequences of connecting and sharing with international contacts are the following:
Intentional Consequence: Increase in personal, as well as, professional knowledge of children and families in other countries. The challenges and issues that are prevelant, as well as, the policies and procedures of addressing such challenges and issues.
Intentional consequence: Can be an excellent resource for measuring and comparing approaches, assessments and progress. Can also lead to opportunities for combining resources for a greater cause.
Unintentional consequence: While exchanging information regarding various countries challenges, trends and "hot topics", it is easy to become consume with such and forget the same challenges that are also present at "home" (United States).
GOAL: All nations will unite on behalf of all children. All nations will develop and coordinate universal standards and expectations regarding child welfare. All states and nations will be expected to abide by these standards.
This is my journey as I achieve my Masters degree in Early Childhood Education: Public Policy/Advocacy. The road of knowledge has been traveled by many. It consists of research, studies, networking, trial and error, research, reading, constructive criticism, did I say research? and repeating the cycle. If we choose, we can travel this road forever and experience numerous, amazing possibilities and opportunities.
A Thought To Ponder:
" A NATION'S GREATNESS IS MEASURED BY HOW IT TREATS ITS WEAKEST MEMBERS"
I hope and pray that our nation can come together to meet that goal. It is amazing!
ReplyDeleteKinesha,
ReplyDeleteI love your blog page the layout is really nice. I see that we have Head Start in common. I serve as an administrator for the prorgram. I would like to know how the process of obtaning a research topic has worked for you. I finally came up with a topic that I deemed as of importance. I have such a passion for our children. The topic that I chose is Stress Triggers in children. I think that this is a topic that is really important, especially in an economy that is always changing, when parents feel the stress it triggers down on the children. This topic is really important when dealing with families from poverty, low-income and disadvantaged backgrounds. Let me know if there is any feedback that you can provide me on my topic. I really enjoyed reading your blog I am really inspired by your words, I know that you will one day make an excellent instructor! Check my blog site out at www.myvisionisclear.wordpress.com
